The brain is one of the most interesting parts of the human body. Without it, nothing could be done. Without the your brain functioning, this twentieth century technology wouldn’t be possible. Your brain functioning is so important, that even the heart depends on the brain to run the body.
But how much do you truly know about your brain? Here are some of the most amazing facts that most people probably don’t know.

1. Your brain is mostly water- Just like your body, the brain is also made of water. Lots of it. About eighty percent of your brain to be exact. This is why a glass of water can be enough to stop a killer headache.
2. Your brain can store information in terabytes- Your brain is extremely spacious in terms of data capacity. What do I mean by that? It can store more than an external hard drive with 1 terabyte of capacity (a terabyte is equal to 1000 gigabytes)! An average brain can store up to 120 terabytes. No wonder your brain functions so well.
Your brain is more active at night- During the night, your brain works more than the day. Sleep is like a workout for your brain. This is why you need a good night’s sleep.
3. You DON’T use less than ten percent of your brain- You might have heard that you use less than ten percent of your brain, but that’s just plain crazy talk. In fact, every part of your brain has a documented use.

However, the truth is that brain size doesn’t matter. A kid genius might have a small head, but he or she would still be smarter than a fat headed idiot.
